Well, the Iditarod website is the best place to start. But I will also be posting TONS of twitter updates which get fed straight onto the Flash Kennels site on the lefthand side bar. So that's a good place to follow it, as well.

Well the race doesn't actually start until this Sunday. but I have heard that there is very little snow over most the trail so it should be a rough year on equipment!

I'm not really sure what's going on with the Iditarod. Where can I get more information?

About Flash Kennels

Well you have made it to a funny little eddy in the river of information that flows across the internet. It's a strange spot where Learning, Dog Mushing, and Environmental Awareness mix and blend in a constantly moving, soothing place made to sit back, relax and ponder what in our daily lives makes life worth living!
Flash Kennels is a small family owned kennel, with between 30-40 dogs... plus puppies.

Rich Hum is the kennel founder and the driving force in the Kennel's breeding, feeding, and training program. Little brother Charlie Allison is the full-fledged Kennel partner and intrepid Jr. Iditarod musher... winner of the 2009 Junior Quest. Christina Hum is Rich's amazing wife, Skijor Queen, fixer of fixes, and resident Guru of Learning. Their son is King of the Puppies and the go-fast sprinter of the Clan.
We live in the forests around Talkeetna, Alaska. And we run our dogs along tight steep trails.
